A Vedic Priest is usually called a Pandit, Purohit or Acharya. He has extensive knowledge on Vedic religion, Vedas as well as other vedic scriptures. He is absolutely responsible for officiating rituals and preaching religious values to attain peace and prosperity.

The Vedic Priests of Mauritius Arya Ravi Ved Pracharini Sabha are playing a very important role in the field of religion. Their main objective is to propagate the real message of the Vedas and the ideologies of Swami Dayanand Saraswati by carrying out all religious ceremonies, vedic lectures, seminars, katha, pravachan and satsang. On all Vedic Festivals and on several auspicious occasions, it is the responsibility of the Pandits/Panditas or Acharyas to invoke the almighty spirit by Ved Mantras to bless the ceremonial function. Celebrations of festivals and all vedic sacraments are officiated by qualified priests according to the prescribed text known as ‘Arya Parva Paddhatti’ and ‘Sanskaar Vidhi’.

Our Vedic Priests use to follow the teachings of Vedas and firmly believe that Satya Sanatan Vedic Dharma was not established by any person. ‘Sanatan’ means eternal, which was, which is and which will always remain. ‘Vedic’ means related to the ‘‘Vedas’’- the true knowledge and eternal voice of God. Services offered by our Priests:-
(1) Religious consultation and guidance to organize Maha Yaj, Ved Paath, Pravachan, Satsang etc.
(2) Marital and Premarital Counseling.
(3) Family counseling in distress.
(4) Health remedies via special rituals and yoga along with guidance, in the all important realm of food and diet.
(5) Sixteen sacraments and rituals for success, peace and all endeavors.
(6) Guidance to perform Sandhaya and Agnihotra at home including “Vedic Shishtachar”
(7) Guidance to prepare vedic lectures on different topics.
(8) Advise the Managing Committee to celebrate all major activities of the Sabha.
(9) Advise the Committee to invite Vedic Scholars- (Acharyas / Sanyasee) from India to disseminate Vedic philosophy and religious values throughout the island.
(10) Organize seminars, religious debates, symposium, culinary and literary competitions at branch and national level.

Our Pandits, Panditas and Acharyas are working in close collaboration with the Managing Committee and other sister organizations to give a new direction for the continuous progress of our society and country. They are giving a helping hand to update our website and quarterly magazine known as ‘Arya Sandesh’ All trained priests prepare their M.B.C Radio Programs under the strict guidance and supervision of our Acharyas.
Our Radio Program is well known by the name of “Jagriti” which is regularly broadcasted on every Monday at 6.00 o’clock in the morning. Our Sabha and priests are thankful to the MBC for allocating distinctive radio programs such as Mangalacharan, Ved Paath, Shrawani Talk, Rishi Nirvaan talk etc.

Our priests propagate the sacred message Vedic Dharma even through T.V channel known as ‘Amrit Vani’ at a regular basis and special program of Satsang on ‘Bhajan Sandhaya’ on a request basis, watched by a lot of people.
